If It’s Not Broken, Don’t Fix It

Corruption breeds corruption, or a Jesus Christ once said, a rotten tree produces rotten fruit. It’s as simple as that. So why would anyone expect the presidential and other up-coming governmental elections to produce a legitimate or legal government? The Republican success, with gutless complicity by everyone else, since 2000 is already legendary. So when you hear of voter suppression, caging, intimidation and mischief by law, Joe asks, does anyone try to do something about these assaults on the voting public and their legal rights by thugs and criminals reminiscent of Nazi Germany ?

One of the first observations on the Joe Blow Report was, What Makes a Blueprint for Peace?dealing with a blog article by Dave Berman, a local blogger at:  We Do Not Consent— The blog, the book, the birth of peaceful revolution for conscientious objectors everywhere… Here, Mr. Berman’s primary concern was legitimate government, legal elections with accurate vote count and his struggle to produce or effect same. So, Joe decided to see what “We Do Not Consent” had to say lately. Interestingly, he as some pertinent comments on his latest posting. Take a look.

Joe was pleased to see how Mr. Berman is evolving to a more realistic point of understanding. Perhaps he’ll conclude at some later date that there are more than “one” way to protest a fraudulent election, which he says is guaranteed.

Mahmoud-al-ZaharThe Hamas rulers of Gaza Strip on Tuesday lashed out at gunners who fire rockets at Israel from the Palestinian territory in violation of a seven-week-old calm, calling them Israeli collaborators. “About the rocket-firing, I think those who are responsible are those who collaborate with Israel because there is a consensus by all Palestinian groups to respect the truce,” said Dr. Mahmud Zahar, a senior leader of the Hamas movement.

On Monday, a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed in an empty field outside the southern Israeli city of Sderot, causing no casualty or damage.

According to AFP, Zahar told a Gaza radio station that the party which fired the rocket was “linked to Israel as they provide a pretext to exercise pressure on the Palestinian people.

As these stories develop we plan to add them here.

Garbage In – Garbage Out

The Essence of Corruption:

‘not every wrong, or even every violation of the law, is a crime.’

Source: Mukasey Refuses To Prosecute Officials Who Politicized DOJ: ‘Negative Publicity’ Is Sufficient Punishment

Where does this kind of Crap (Attorney General Michael Mukasey) come from?

This is what grows in Southern Humboldt County, California at Ernie’s Place:  “I have never ratted on anyone, and I never intend to, having said that you will probably say that I am the problem. … I have friends that I’m sure grow minor amounts. I feel that it is okay to be friends with growers. My rule is I don’t want to know about it. If I don’t rat on people, but I don’t have to feel bad when they get busted.”

The War on Drugs is a money-maker for Ernie and  all of his self-describe amoral friends:  “The price of marijuana would drop from thousands of dollars a pound to the price of a pack of cigarettes. The money that moves to and from Humboldt county would stop. The economy would stop, and many, many innocent people would be hurt.”

The Big Lie: “I have gotten along quite nicely, and have become a fast and trusted friend to many of the growers and indeed we have a lot in common, trying to survive and all.” Garbage in, garbage out!

As you can see, there are no “innocent people” in a Democracy. Which is exactly what everyone finds out when the chickens come home to roost.

Direct Action

This Blog is definately not this, as defined by Wikipedia, “a form of political activism which seeks immediate remedy for perceived ills.”

Direct action is a form of political activism which seeks immediate remedy for perceived ills, as opposed to indirect actions such as electing representatives who promise to provide remedy at some later date. Direct action can include nonviolent and violent activities, with a blurred intermediate area of attacks on properties. Nonviolent activities include strikes, workplace occupations, sit-ins, demonstrations, sabotage, vandalism and graffiti. More violent actions include revolutionary/guerrilla warfare. Direct actions are often (but not always) a form of civil disobedience and thus often violate criminal law. For example, vandalism is illegal, while demonstrations are usually not illegal in most constitutional democracies. Less confrontational forms of this definition of direct action include establishing radical social centers, and performing street theatre.

Utilizing resources within their power, direct action participants aim to either:

  • obstruct another political agent or political organization from performing some practice to which the activists object; or,
  • solve problems major societal institutions (businesses, governments, powerful churches or establishment unions) are not addressing.

Some direct action participants engage in “indirect actions” (voting in elections, targeted boycotts) as part of larger campaigns.

Some “form of political activism which seeks immediate remedy for perceived ills, as opposed to indirect actions such as electing representatives who promise to provide remedy at some later date” clearly has failed the test of time. Maybe it’s time to step outside the box and see what’s really going on.

As long as everyone seems to think these are the only two options everything seems to work perfectly, well except for those who merely perceive some ill.

Hello world!

Welcome to Direct Action. This is the start of something new and meaningful!

Talk is cheap!  Words are cheap. Millions of words, volumes of unintelligible sounds, and NOTHING!

When going gets tough, the tough get going, and that’s what this blog hopes to explore: MOVING!

Blogging a moving experience.
